We use various shipping carriers, including USPS, FedEx, UPS, and DHL. Once the package is handed over to the carrier, customers will receive a tracking number and an estimated delivery date.

The shipping cost is determined by the product's size, type, weight, and destination. Certain services or items may not be available for shipping to specific locations due to regulatory restrictions.

Conditions for the “Artisan Drum”

Preparation : The production of the Drum is a purely “Artisan” work, so the finishes, shape, size and details are NOT 100% guaranteed. The only thing that is not handmade are the eyebolts and their base. All works and products are developed and built according to the buyer's order. It is a handmade work so each piece is individual and unique to the client for whom it is built.

Artisanal Drums : Artisanal Drums have specific conditions that will be discussed and agreed between the client and the artisan in the contract for the production of each individual drum. Any change or variant after the contract has been agreed could have additional costs to those agreed depending on the state of development of the construction of the Drum.

Language of the contract : Contracts will be formalized in Spanish or English.

Drum Production Time:

The average production time is 4 to 6 weeks, starting from the moment the order is finalized in agreement with the artisan regarding the model, design, and the receipt of the initial deposit to begin production. The initial deposit is 50% of the total cost of the drum. You will be kept informed throughout the drum construction process. The production time may vary depending on the type of order. The customer has two (2) weeks from the order date to request changes to the finish. However, some projects may be in an advanced stage, making it impossible to reverse or modify certain aspects. We are not responsible for production delays caused by changes to the order, accidents, weather conditions, or defects in materials.

Balance Payment:
The remaining balance must be paid at the time of delivery. For shipping orders, payment must be made before the drum is dispatched. For international and/or local orders, payment must be made in advance, including packaging and shipping costs, unless the drum is picked up in person. Additional taxes may apply. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars ("USD").

Changes to the Artisanal Drum:
Changes to the original order will incur an additional charge of 10% of the drum’s cost for each modification, depending on the construction stage and whether the change is feasible. This percentage may vary depending on the construction phase, especially if completed stages need to be reconstructed or reworked. Add-ons or modifications to the basic drum finishes, such as hoops, frames, stainless steel parts, bases with special eye bolts, painting techniques, or drum size, will incur additional costs, ranging from $50 to $75 (USD).

Cancellation of the Artisanal Drum:
Cancelling an order involves penalties. If the order is canceled within the first 3 days, 100% of the initial deposit will be refunded. After one week from the start of production, 50% of the deposit will be retained, and the remainder will be refunded to the customer. The start date will be considered the time, day, and date the initial deposit was received. If the drum is completed at the time of cancellation, 100% of the deposit will be retained until the customer pays off the total balance. The customer will have 30 days to settle the full balance. After 30 days, the deposit will be retained, and Tambores VL will have the right to put the finished product up for sale. The original customer will lose all rights to the drum. The debt will be liquid, payable, and due immediately, as agreed upon in the contract.

Quantities : In quantity orders, an agreement on the delivery time is necessary for several reasons: material availability, order quantity, the process is completely manual, type of finishes, others.

“Primo” Drum: The “Primo or Subidor” Drum costs $50 more than the original price of the Basic “Buleador” Drum.

Colors : Colors may vary in tone in the photos on the website. The techniques may be diverse and the presentation may not be exactly the original finished piece.

Carving Service:

Wood carving designs and artwork come with an additional cost, and it is the responsibility of the client to ensure they have the necessary permissions and copyrights to create the design. El Artesano y Tambores VL does not endorse or copy copyrighted designs, nor do we engage in work that violates the law, morality, or public order.

The design must be clear, well-defined, and original. Artwork should be submitted in black and white and must be approved by the artisan to determine whether it is feasible to carve onto the selected piece. For exclusive or intellectual property designs, the carving will be made solely for the client and on the specific product chosen.

If the client does not have the artwork and requests that it be created or designed, the cost for this service is $50 per hour. Please note that photocopies, newspaper or magazine clippings, GIF images, JPEG files, and sketches are not considered original artwork ready for carving.

The cost of the carving will be determined after the artisan evaluates the design, and it is an additional charge on top of the drum’s value.

Guarantee: The production of the Artisan Drum has a 3-month guarantee on the structure of the barrel. That is, if it comes unstuck or out of square, as long as it has not been thrown or dropped (Due to the experience of the craftsman and the shape of the structure in which the Drum is located, it will be determined and evaluated if it received any impact that changed its shape) and/or if it is caused by high or low temperatures that are reasons for this to happen. The leather or skin, the eyebolts and their side bases (plates) have no Warranty. Note: One of the most common reasons for these changes is leaving it inside the car for a long time receiving high or low temperatures. Other; Sit on him to touch him.
